When it comes to matters that do with your health, you really need to be very careful.
This should even be more emphasized if it is about weight loss for the purpose of getting the coveted skinny waist. The media portrays women with small waists as the models whose body sizes are perfect. This in turn creates, especially to teenage girls, the illusion that the only way to appear cool is to be as slim as you can.
As a result, some women may turn to a fast weight loss diet, without considering the effects that it may have on their health. However, you should not go overboard in order to acquire the so called perfect body size. You should discontinue your weight loss plan if you notice that the flat tummy diet is characterized by one or more of the factors pointed out below:
- If you are losing weight faster than is clinically acceptable, you are likely starving yourself which is bad for you.
- If your diet does not provide all the necessary nutrients needed to keep your body healthy then you need get off it.
- If your diet is not founded on true scientific principles then you need to be careful of that as well, as it may be a fad diet.
- If the diet involves dehydrating your body by taking a water pill this may also not be a good one for you.
- Finally, if your diet eliminates one food group, that is a pretty good sign that it is a fad.
There is the universally acceptable BMI which should be right for your age set and body type. Your endeavor to have a small waist should therefore sound alarm bells if your BMI falls dangerously below the expected levels after going on the flat tummy diets.
